Favourite scenes –
Well, they were all pretty fantastic this episode but definitely the laser pointer scene was a highlight because I was thinking – who could that be out there?
Of course it was the excellent Badger and Skinny Pete.
The scene with Lydia, Todd and Walt was a thing of beauty.
Notable Music – “Baby Blue” by Badfinger (On Youtube) plays as Walt dies and the police arrive.
Ending Song – The Breaking Bad theme composed by Dave Porter
Jesse Lightbulb Moment – Strangling Todd. That must have felt so great for Jesse.
Notable Shots –
Skyler reflected in the microwave
Did you happen to catch the numberplate?
This shot of Walt, incredible.

Snoskred Notes –
I love the moment when Walt puts his watch on top of the payphone. It reminds me of one of the songs previously used – it was in the pilot as a matter of fact – Out Of Time Man by Mick Harvey which contains this lyric – Time don’t fool me no more – I throw my watch to the floor, it’s gone crazy. I always felt a bit like some of the lyrics in the early episodes were telling us the story of what was going to happen later and this is one of those moments.
One thing I believe this episode really benefits from is the fact that Walt, being alone, does not have any opportunity to explain his plans – to someone else, or to us. Breaking Bad as a show, for the most part, has told us what will happen and then shown it to us, via Jesse and Walt planning things out.
We see all the elements coming together for what happens at the clubhouse, but we have no idea what it really means.
The ricin cigarette finally gets used and thank the deities because that thing was discussed to *death* on all the internet forums. Stevia becomes the downfall of Lydia. She was so utterly obsessed with the stuff, too, it is kind of poetic.
Felina = an anagram for Finale.
