Snoskred Notes –
Emmy Nominations for this episode – Anna Gunn for best supporting actress
Some people do not love the teaser for this episode. They say it is too much product placement and/or various other reasons. I am not one of those people. I love this teaser. First of all I love that Walt Jr gets the challenger. He should have had it all along, in my opinion. Drat Skyler and her stick to the story thingy.
Second, this teaser says so much about where Walt is at. He doesn’t care what Skyler thinks anymore. He doesn’t care about the story anymore. He is gonna do whatever the heck he wants to do. And if he wants a flashy car, he is going to have it. Even if he has to lease it to keep Skyler in line. Walt has gone full Heisenberg, and nothing stops the Heisenberg train.
Thirdly, this car is SO HEISENBERG. You could not come up with a more Heisenberg vehicle. The car is a Chrysler 300 SRT-8. Here is a nice article about the cars of Breaking Bad – The Cars of Breaking Bad – And what they symbolise.
Finally, I love the piece of music they used. “Bonfire” by Knife Party.
It is a sad goodbye to The Aztek
Ooh, remember those bee barrels they wasted back in Face Off? Ironic that this is what they need now, and they have GPS trackers attached.
