Walt’s family worries when he doesn’t turn up for Walter, Jr.’s 16th birthday. Jesse is forced to put his lab skills to the test without Mr. White’s help.
~ Favourites ~
Favourite Walt Jr line – “Thanks mom, it’s great” BUT IT ISN’T A DODGE CHALLENGER MOM!! Seriously, RJ Mitte is fabulous in this episode and especially with his non impressedness at the car.
Favourite Skyler line – “Maybe the universe is telling you that you need to pay what you owe.”
Favourite Don Eladio line – “I had to spank you. But what choice did I have?”
Favourite Ted line – “I got a very unexpected cash infusion.”
Favourite Gus line – “Fill your pockets and leave in peace, or fight me and die.”
Favourite Saul line – “Lets just say you and I don’t wear the same rose coloured glasses where Johnny Fabulous is concerned.”
Favourite Mike line – “I promise you this: Either we’re all going home or none of us are. Now settle down.”
Favourite Walt line – (To Walt Jr) “That’s good Jesse”
Favourite Jesse line – “I’m the guy your boss brought here to show you how it’s done. And if this is how you run your lab, no wonder. You’re lucky he hasn’t fired your ass. Now if you don’t want that to happen, I suggest you stop whining like a little bitch, and do what I say.”
– love the looks on the faces of Gus and Mike after this speech.
– we go to the scene with Walt and Walt Jr, where the “real” chemist Walt is.. basically.. whining like a little bitch
Favourite Jesse/Walt exchange –
Walt and Jesse do not have any scenes together this week. Instead, I offer you this –
Awesome Chemist/Jesse Exchange –
Jesse: [to Gus] Tell this asshole if he wants to learn how to make my product he’s got to do it my way. The right way.
Chemist: I speak English.
Jesse: So you understand what “asshole” means. Now go get me my phenylacetic acid, asshole.
Favourite scenes –
How amazing is the scene with Jesse and the chemist. It is a hugely important scene for so many reasons but the most important in my mind is to show us how much Jesse has changed and just how far his character has progressed.
Great scenes with Walt and Walt Jr this week.
Don Eladio with the gorgeous tequila bottle.
And the party scene where three people are truly not having a great time. Mike in the corner, hands folded. Jesse in the chair, thinking what the heck is going on. Gus sitting there staring at the place where his friend and business partner died.
The way Jesse jumps out of that chair when Mike.. does what Mike does.
Notable Music – “Bang Data” by Bang Data (On Youtube) plays during the party with the cartel.
Ending Song – The Breaking Bad theme composed by Dave Porter
Jesse Lightbulb Moment – 96.2%. Well done Jesse!
Notable Shots –
A gorgeous wide shot.
This is very well framed.
What an amazing shot this is!
